Guru Nanak Public School, Rajouri Garden was founded in 1969, on the occassion of the Quincentenary Birthday of the great Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It is an English Medium Co-educational institution imparting culture based education from Nursery to XII standard. It is recoganized by the Directorate of Education Delhi and affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education C.B.S.E. The School is being run by Sri Guru Singh Sabha (Regd.) Rajouri Garden and is managed by a duly constituted Managing Committee consisting of responsive members from all walks of life.
The School aims to provide education that develops the complete personality of the child-mentally, emotionally physically and spiritually. Great emphasis is laid on spiritual aspects of life by exposing the children to the teachings of our Great Gurus and by giving them opportunities to take part in religious functions. Children are taught to respect all religions, love all human beings and help the needy in the real Sikh spirit.
Sports are an integral part of our system which not only take care of the physical growth of the children but also inculcate in them the qualities of leadership, self-discipline, co-operation and healthy competition. In short, the School aims at character building and personality development of students through a well-balanced combination of general education and co-curricular activities.
